Cultural Alliance seeks volunteers for Made in American Festival

The Cultural Alliance is excited to announce that on September 1 and 2, they will be participating in the upcoming Made IN America Festival, produced in-part by world-renowned Hip-Hop artists Jay-Z. They are looking for volunteers to assist with their two-day tabling efforts. If interested, please email jamesc@philaculture.org by Friday, August 24.

About MIA:
During this monumental music festival taking place right on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Jay-Z’s philanthropic initiative The Shawn Carter Foundation has organized The Cause Village – an action and cause oriented table/tent fair geared toward engaging the attendees with area non-profits/organizations.

About volunteering:
As one of around two dozen organizations participating in the Cause Village, the Cultural Alliance is looking forward to using this opportunity to engage festival participants in arts advocacy by distributing collateral and incentivizing the public to sign-up for Cultural Alliance action alerts, FunSavers and emails from partner organizations.

In return, volunteers from organizations can distribute their collateral, promote events/programs and will be provided with the emails we collect on that day.  Also, the Alliance is negotiating MIA Festival access for all volunteers, so that you can enjoy the festivities before or after the volunteer shift.

There are currently  four shifts that you can sign-up for:
·         Saturday, September 1 – 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
·         Saturday, September 1 – 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
·         Sunday, September 2 – 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
·         Sunday, September 2 – 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Be sure to mention which shift you prefer in your email.
