Elements Organization invites proposals for papers, artwork and workshops to be showcased and held during the 4th Annual LGBTQ Womyn of Color Conference on October 12-14. Work should be submitted by August 17 at info@ourelements.org.
The organization seeks submissions that will advance knowledge on and for LGBTQ womyn of color and, by extension, will enrich and broaden dialogue about LGBTQ womyn of color at all levels. Successful proposals will engage with the 2012 conference theme, “Flowing Further” from one of six angles: Arts and Education, Gender Expression/Body, Relationships, Sexuality/Sexual Practices, Social Justice, and Spirituality/Wellness.
While preferences are given to the self-identified LGBTQ womyn of color, allies are strongly encouraged to submit proposals – particularly those paired with self-identified LGBTQ womyn of color. Workshops should be interactive, informative and leave participants with “something to take home.”
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The Call for workshops is open from July 9th – August 17th Submissions must be received no later than midnight EST on August 17th. All proposals must be submitted electronically as a PDF attachment using the 2012 Workshop Proposal Submission Form to info@elements.org. The subject line of your submission email should read “Call for Submissions + [your full name].”
