Qaadira Allen (ACG ’06, ACG ’08) will be the Training Team Leader a 12-week professional development offered by The Center for Transformative Art. This unique training for artists, educators, and other change agents, is an immersion in the techniques and best practices of transformative art, which combines creative and experiential components in group settings. You will walk away from the training with a proven model for structuring your art & change workshops/classes and the knowledge of how to adapt your artistic/creative content (or any other type of content) into a powerful, life-shifting experience for your group participants.
You will also learn basic facilitation skills, how to manage the 4 stages of group process, a 10-step process for designing workshops and group sessions, and the art of creating a safe and sacred space within a room. You will also have taken the first step to becoming a Certified Transformative Art Facilitator.
This comprehensive instruction starts with a in-person Intensive at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by 11-weeks of online and telephone training calls, support, and connection.
Qaadira Allen, the Training Team Leader, is an artist, author, and educator. She has designed and facilitated more than 400 transformational workshops and groups in the U.S. and Caribbean for women, people with cancer, trainers/facilitators, at-risk youth, medical staff, teachers/educators, women who experienced childhood sexual trauma, seniors, solo-preneurs, and social service professionals.
