Art Street Textile Studio, started by Kathryn Pannepacker (WOO ’04) and Leslie Sudock, in cooperation with the Welcome Center present Color Fix, an exhibition of paintings by Welcome Center guests and volunteers. The paintings, as well as luscious woven scarves and other handmade goods will be available for purchase. The opening reception will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Arts Street Textile Studio (626 South St., Philadelphia). The Welcome Center is a drop-in day cafe serving persons experiencing or transitioning from homelessness. Art Street Textile Studio is a workspace, gallery, and boutique showcasing the works of individuals who identify as artists and artisans and are sometimes stigmatized because of being homeless or in a challenging situation.
