Independent Television Services’ (ITVS) Philadelphia Community Cinema program is seeking interns for the Fall 2010 season. Interns will work together with the ITVS Philadelphia Area Regional Outreach Coordinator. These are all unpaid internships but can be used for educational course requirements if relevant and offer an excellent opportunity for building a resume with a national well-known organization in the fields of film and video and public broadcasting. Event Videographer
The Event Videographer will be responsible for documenting the panel or education engagement activities at three Community Cinema screenings (October, November and December), editing the video footage in highlighted clips of 1-5 minutes and compressing them for uploading to the web. Basic knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Compressor or comparable Mac-based video editing and compression software required. Ideal for people looking to build their reel.
Event Photographer
The Event Photographer will be responsible for documenting the audience and panel or education engagement activities at three Community Cinema screenings (October, November and December), editing the photos if necessary and uploading to the web. Ideal for people looking to build their event photography portfolio.
Event Blogger
The Event Blogger will be responsible for attending three Community Cinema screenings (October, November and December) and writing an engaging event report back for the Community Cinema blog utilizing audience survey comments and short audience interviews. Ideal for people looking to build their writing for social media portfolio.
