Philadelphia Open Studio Tours is inviting all professional visual artists in Philadelphia to register for the 2010 season. Studios West of Broad Street will open October 2 through 3, 2010 and studios East of Broad Street will open October 9 through 10, 2010. This annual event showcases hundreds of professional visual artists in every Philadelphia neighborhood. During the week of POST participating artists will open their studios to the public, free of charge, to share and sell artwork.
All registrations will be processed with a web-based applicant management system that will ensure a simpler and more efficient registration process for POST. The online registration seamlessly integrates your studio information, artwork images, artist agreement, and payment. All artists must register for free with our online system in order to complete their POST registration. Artwork images must be uploaded and payments made with a credit card at the time of registration. All registrations must be submitted online before midnight on Tuesday June 1 to receive the following program benefits: Inclusion in printed event material, tour directory, and press releases; images reviewed by curator for inclusion in group exhibition at CFEVA; consideration for special promotions with the Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe, Institute of Contemporary Art, and Ritz Theaters. Artists must include at least one image in order to register, however, in an effort to promote the most up-to-date artwork, program staff will accept one round of revised images on or before September 1, 2010.
FOR ARTISTS WHO DO NOT HAVE ONLINE ACCESS OR A COMPUTER: The Center for Emerging Visual Artists opens the Maida R. Milone Resource Center to assist in technical, online, and registration needs. If you do not have the necessary equipment to process your registration online, please contact Ann Koivunen at CFEVA via phone 215.546.7775 x12 or email Ann@cfeva.org to schedule an appointment.
