Sanii Crespina-Flores (ACG ’06) announces the fourth annual “Un-Inhibited Muse invites you to Cine…” a festival of independent short films by independent cinematographers and featuring live performances by local artists. A celebration of song, dance and the Inspired. The festival is currently accepting submissions at uninhibitedmusefestival.ning.com. This year’s event will be held October 24, 2010 from 6pm to 9 pm at The Rotunda located at 4014 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
It is the desire of the organizers to showcase the aspirations of local artists using visual art, film and spoken word as instruments of their masterpiece and exhibit their activism. It is an old tradition, one that has been viewed in forms such as the cromlech to the harlequin. The festival focuses on the art of using language, sound and color to create imagery that expresses the ideologies, emotions and physical views of life and fantasy as witnessed by local artists. A journey beyond heartache and hard lessons, racial divide and economic status to actively participating in social change.

Annually in October, the streets of downtown Philadelphia are peopled with art enthusiasts seeking venues that provide a variety of local and international talent. The Un-Inhibited Muse Festival is filled with fascinating sights and sounds as fine artists, musicians, dancers and exhibitors taking part in the celebration. These artists weave a gorgeous blend of texture and shape of visual arts, lively performances to create an explosion of color against the century old buildings and modern skyline of Philadelphia.
Illuminating Artistry…
One can choose to view from a variety of creative and original works of art including painting, sculpture, photography, short films, multimedia compositions and more. Of the hundreds of applications received, our esteemed panel selects 50 of the world’s best. We too work with young artist from the Philadelphia area providing workshops designed to acquire and show works of art from the festival in a special touring exhibit within schools and community centers throughout the city. This exhibit provides exposure to visual arts in an accessible and nurturing setting and introduces the public to various art forms.
