Cassendre Xavier in Song and Poetry at The Free Library


Cassendre Xavier (LTA ’05) will be performing her music and poetry at the Free Library of Philadelphia, Central Branch on Wednesday, February 24 at 7:30pm.

Xavier performs courtesy of The Literature Department of the Free Library as it celebrates Black History Month. Cassendre, a musician, author, visual artist, and actress, is the founder and director of Philadelphia’s annual Black Women’s Arts Festival. On Thursday, February 4 at 7:30pm she will be part of Blend at Blue Bananas Café – a Poetic Arts Performance Project. Blue Bananas Café is located at 223 South Street, Philadelphia PA. On Tuesday, February 16 at 7:30pm Cassendre will be reading from, and signing copies of her new chapbook “Erotica: A Liberation” [Explicit] at The Erotic Literary Salon with salonniere & muse Susana Mayer, PhD. The Literary salon is held in the Bohemian Absinthe Lounge, upstairs at Time located on 1315 Sansom Street, Philadelphia PA 19107. 21+ to enter $10 cover, $8  for students and seniors.
