Feeling stuck about how to raise more money for your organization? Who do you ask for money and how do you do it with so few staff members or volunteers? This workshop will provide an overview of fundraising techniques and make the assertion that you already know all the people you need to know to raise the money that you need! It is ideal for organizations beginning fundraising campaigns for the first time or looking for creative ways to expand their income streams, or for training staff members and volunteers who are new to fundraising.
About the facilitator: Sara Zia Ebrahimi has over seven years of experience as a fundraiser both for community organizing and the arts. She has experienced the philanthropic process from all angles–fundraising from individuals to foundations as well as reviewing applications as a grant panelist. She has worked with organizations locally including Bread & Roses Community Fund, the Philadelphia Independent Film and Video Association (PIFVA) and the City’s Cultural Fund.
