Judith Trustone (ACG ’05), the director of Sagewriters, a national organization dedicated to publishing books of social and literary merit by prisoners, families, victims, advocates and progressive corrections professionals, is seeking an assistant for Sagewriters with technology skills and equipment, maturity, integrity and a passion for justice to help take Sagewriters to the next level.
Interested candidates should posses a love for well-crafted words, art and film.The work will consist of exploring internet marketing, website maintenance, light editing, correspondence, and developing foundation and other support. Travel to Swarthmore at least once a week (near train and bus) is required and otherwise work from home, itemizing how time is spent is acceptable. Someone who is confident, curious, calmly energetic with a sense of spirituality as well as a sense of humor would fit right in with the Sagewriters team.
At this time, pay is $12 an hour, maximum for ten hours a week to start. They are working on some promising funding sources and want an assistant willing to commit six months to a year to achieve our goals. Grow with and create Kindness Circles, nurture the Global Kindness Revolution, set up book signings and film screenings, and distribute Kindness Cards.
