The Center for Emerging Visual Artists Gallery is currently accepting proposals from emerging curators for its Ninth Annual Visiting Curator Exhibition, scheduled to take place in Spring 2010. Once chosen, the curator will be solely responsible for selecting the artists and artworks for an exhibition. Each proposed exhibition must consist of at least 4 artists. The applicant may include all media in the proposal. Curators must live within 100 miles of Philadelphia. Deadline: September 15, 2009Compensation: Curators will be compensated $500 per exhibition. Curators must submit the following to be eligible:
- A curator’s statement detailing the proposed exhibition (up to 2 pages)
- A current resume
- A list of artists included in the exhibition
- Digital images or slides from of at least 4 included artists
- Current resumes of all the included artists
- A self-addressed, stamped envelope for return shipping
