St. Ann’s Warehouse’s Puppet Lab is currently seeking project proposals from artists and/or collaborative teams working in the medium of puppetry. Selected artists are offered workspace, technical production support, mentorship, and group feedback, as well as a stipend upon completion of the lab. Work developed in the Puppet Lab has the opportunity to be shown at Labapalooza!, a puppetry showcase held at the Warehouse in June 2010, as determined by the lab directors. Puppetry experience is not a requirement to apply, though eligible artists will have produced creative work in the past, and proposed projects must incorporate live puppetry performance. Collaborations between artists in different fields are strongly encouraged, as is the use of media, live music, dance, and other art forms. For complete information and an application, click here.
